CodeLathe has just released a new personal web application platform named as Tonido. A Tonido application or instance runs locally on user computer and unlike normal desktop applications Tonido’s user interface is accessed through a web browser. Tonido application allows user to access the Tonido instance any where in the world through it’s browser based UI without reliance on any third party servers. Tonido can run on any OS whether it is Windows, Mac  or Linux , and if it is connected with Tonido network it can  communicate directly with other Tonido instances. Tonido is extensible and new features or applications can be added through plug-ins developed using Tonido Platform SDK. Tonido beta will ship with four applications namely- Tonido Jukebox, Tonido Photos, Tonido Webshare, and Tonido Workspace. Last but not least, Tonido is completely private and secure.
