New Options for BLAST (NOBLAST) is an open source program that provides a new user-friendly tabular output format for various NCBI BLAST programs without any use of a parser . NOBLAST provides a new extended user friendly csv output format and offers an option to correct the statistics (E-value correction) when split databases are used for NCBI BLAST programs (Blastn, Blastp, Blastx, Tblastn, Tblastx, Mega BLAST and Psi BLAST) or when BLAST normalization is required. Java Application Manager (JAMBLAST) using the NOBLAST output allows the user to display, filter, sort, import/export, store/manage the BLAST hits using a number of selection criteria.
