From IUPS 2009- 36th World Congress

36th World Congress of the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS) is starting on July 27 in Kyoto Japan. IUPS is one of oldest physiological societies which brings together physiologists from throughout the world. Congress is held every four years and this year focus is on function of life-elements and integration. Whole congress program is full of interesting talks, tutorials and symposiums. I am more interested to attend sessions related to systems biology, and if possible then blog them. I will be also attending Building the Virtual Physiological Human (VPH) Community satellite symposium of IUPS 2009. One of the major agenda for the symposia is possible debate about public access to data and models in context of IUPS Physiome project and VPH framework. So keep eyes on the blog for updates about IUPS 2009.
