Subscription flow: The future is distributed real time

A bunch of Google engineers have developed this very innovative idea of PubSubHubbub protocol which makes RSS and ATOM items delivery in your reader more real-time like FriendFeed or Twitter. So what’s a big deal with this new real time framework, well if it works as Dave Winer suggests then it will be possible to create a Twitter like service without a 140-character limitation.
